We are the Global Democracy Forum.
.
.
The Forum is a World Democracy Movement focused on strengthening or giving direction for the implementation of Democracy in all countries, bringing together people who, like us, believe that together we can improve, bring new points of view and develop a Democracy Agenda that can be reproduced as the backbone of Democracy.
Clarifying that, when we refer to Global Democracy, we are talking about encouraging the Democratic State in each country in the world with its particularities, contributing with ideas and suggestions for improving the Democracy Agenda. In this way, we are bringing empirical knowledge from countries like Norway, which every day is getting closer to an exemplary Democracy. We know that Democracy is like a work of art, which can be infinitely improved, and a well-founded disagreement is part of the essence of Democracy.
When we have absolute agreement, it is the first indication that we are moving away from the democratic path. The wisdom of a Democrat is to manage the ideas of those who disagree with their views, but still listen carefully and retain what is good. Another objective is to reach the most fragile countries in their Democratic organization and share the successes of other countries, also providing the Democracy Agenda, to serve as a guide on their path. Our intention is to warn about the danger that the World is increasingly leaning towards autocratic political regimes: Which is a form of government in which there is a single holder of political-state power, that is, power is concentrated in a single ruler, and contribute to a change of direction towards freedom and the development of Democracy. Our headquarters are in São Paulo, Brazil,
we have representatives in more than 25 countries. The Global Democracy Forum, using the shortened name Global Forum, held its first meeting in March 2021, and others monthly, until its statutory foundation and legally registered with government bodies, in 2023. We are currently in contact with Nations that defend and want to optimize their democracies, such as, for example, Cape Verde, according to members of their government who inform us that Dr. José Ulisses Correia e Silva, Prime Minister, was satisfied with the result, but stated that he aspires to a higher level.
These Nations that we reach have asked us to hold an event in their country, making themselves available on our list of candidates to hold the Global Forum. Our International Executive Board is made up of representatives with extensive experience in the sector of activities: political, educational, cultural, business, agribusiness and livestock. Other special personalities are also being invited, all with relevant performances at the national level, in international and institutional relations, capable of contributing fruitfully to achieving common objectives..
